Sisterhood
Sisterhood brings women together to serve our synagogue, support our community, and enrich our lives through Jewish learning, spirituality, philanthropy projects, and social action. Sisterhood fosters personal growth and camaraderie among our members and helps build lifelong friendships.
Sisterhood has sent donations to Ukraine, Israel, and to those affected by natural disasters. They support the annual Toys for Tots program, a veterans group, and the Ronald McDonald family library, among others. Sisterhood supports the synagogue in many ways, including the annual Gala, Shabbat in the Park services, the Rabbi's Fund, and financially supporting a child's tuition for JEWELS through the Marsha Gould Endowment Fund.
Sisterhood holds monthly meetings and schedules several events per year. Recent outings and events include: Horace Heidt Museum, Japanese Gardens, historical Camarillo Ranch House, Skirball Cultural Center, and Bunco Game Day at VOS. Be sure to check the Social Groups upcoming events calendar for "Sisterhood" events.
Sisterhood welcomes new members at any time of the year. Join us! Contact Donna Sheanin at dsheanin@aol.com for more information.
