Our Community

VOS boasts an unusually high level of community engagement. Our community is quite large, spanning all ages and geographical areas. While our Center for Jewish Life is in Calabasas, VOS members come from the Conejo, San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys as well as Los Angeles.

We at VOS are in the business of Outreach. That means creating doorways into Jewish life and our community is using a myriad of beautiful doorways that include our home-based, experiential learning program (JEWELS), adult education, music making, theater, games, social events, travel experiences and of course, extraordinarily well-attended services.
