Mitzvah
VOS is committed to fulfilling mitzvot by embracing the values of Tikkun Olam (“Repairing the World”). The Mitzvah Committee offers congregants numerous opportunities to do so both within the synagogue, our community, and the world.
Some of our VOS Mitzvah projects include:
- Shiva Support
- Operation School Bus
- The Butterfly Project
- Sova Food Pantry
- Operation Gratitude
- Singing at the Jewish Home
- Reading to school children and math tutoring
We are open to learning about new causes, and welcome input from our community. We welcome new participants! Whether you want to help with a specific event, spearhead something new, or become an active committee member -- please reach out to Barbara Huff at (818) 441-3384 or huff669@gmail.com.
Be sure to check the Social Groups upcoming events calendar for "Mitzvah" events.
